Food businesses with an independent Food Safety Program are required to have a third party Food Safety Audit.  These audits check that businesses are complying with their Food Safety Program, the Food Act and applicable Food Safety Standards.
Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points are recognised internationally as the best method of food risk management. Once you have your HACCP Program implemented the next step is the certification process, where an independent auditor audits the program for compliance. The audit is required to achieve HACCP certification.
Food Safety Programs are a detailed document which outlines how a food business will manage food safety hazards within their business in accordance with the Food Act and applicable Food Safety Standards.
A HACCP Program is a Food Safety Program based on Codex Principles.  A HACCP Program uses the Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) system to identify and control hazards in the production, manufacturing and handling of food.
